A visit to Chesters by the River is a must when staying at Colwith. This fabulous bakery, café and shop tucked by the River Brathay at the start of the Langdale Valley in the middle of the Lake District is famous for its hot chocolate and cakes as well as its winter warming, home made soups – the perfect place to head to after a bracing winter walk.
